Thank you for continuing to support the Casa in these difficult financial times. Along with the food, clothing, and services provided to the poor and destitute of Tijuana, the Casa has been helping deserving students through scholarships.
These students would not be able to attend school without this financial aid, and they are very grateful to all of you.
The sentiment below is repeated many times from students who have been given a chance to change their lives for the better. Your Adopt-A Student donations make all of this possible . . .
Marely writes, “Hi, good day, I am Marely. I am writing this letter to thank you for the support you have given me so far, thank you for trusting in me, thank you for continuing to help me study English. Although it has been difficult, I have been able to continue and face what was impossible for me. There were days when I could no longer continue. But because it is my future, I know that they will help me later. Thanks for everything. I really feel more than grateful for everything you have supported me. I will always be grateful for that. Thanks again. Blessings and my best wishes for you today and always.”
How can you help break the cycle of poverty?
Support our students by donating:
- School supplies
- Shoes, socks
Parents understand the importance of school, and study is encouraged. The children are eager to learn, and they know that education is the key to their future. The Sisters who teach catechism classes report excellent progress from the dedicated children. Those who receive scholership aid are very serious and competitive as they continue to improve in school. These bright students will be able to become successful adults and one day, help their own families.
Special request for September
Support our families: there is a special request for cleaning supplies:
- Disinfecting bleach (Clorox or any brand)
- Powder laundry detergent (Foca, Blanca Nieves, or any brand)
- All Purpose Liquid Multi-Surface Liquid Cleaner and Disinfectant
- Scours “Scotch Brite” heavy-duty scour, non-scratch, double-cleaning pad, etc.

For those who aren’t able to purchase products and deliver them to our La Jolla pickup location, any monetary donations will be used by the Sisters to purchase what is needed at the best price possible.
Good news! The workers finished repairing the plumbing under the kitchen floor, and the flooring has been repaired. This is such a blessing, and the Casa can serve hot food again! This was an expensive repair, but necessary to be able to continue to serve those who go to the Casa for a meal.
The need for FOOD and the BASICS (toilet paper, soap, toothbrushes, toothpaste, shampoo) — the little things that we take for granted — is ever present.
Tax receipts are available upon request. Virtually 100% of your donations go directly to the Sisters in Tijuana for the poor (we just pay minimal fees from PayPal and credit card donations.
MAY GOD BLESS YOU FOR YOUR GOODNESS TO HIS PEOPLE
