Sister Gudelia visits Colonia Ferrocarril near Tecate, Mexico where there are no public services and tells us: “Some parents work at making bricks while others ‘work’ in the dumps of this colony. The family that invited me into their house goes to the dumps daily with the hope to find food, clothes, or other items for their 5 children. The mother said that sometimes she has picked up tortillas and takes them to feed her children. The family was very happy with my visit and felt blessed to receive bread, rice, beans, toys, and blankets. It is moving to see such poverty and deprivation. This colonia is their world because they are so isolated. Thank God we are able to relieve them a little when we visit.”
The Sisters instill hope and treat each individual with a tenderness, respect, and love that can only come from God. The undercurrent of JOY amid so much destitution and illness is felt by anyone who visits the Casa. During the Holy Hour and Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament on Thursdays, the people chant praise and thanksgiving to God for your intentions and special prayer requests. Please send us your special intentions.
How You Can Help This Month
This month, Sister Armida requests FOOD:
- Tuna, peanut butter, spam, canned milk, oatmeal
- Other high-protein food
- Extra money to provide medicine
- Clothing in good condition for men and babies

Sister says, “We and the people are very, very grateful for all that you do to help the Casa, and we ask you for daily prayers so that we may have strength to serve the people and give glory to God.” Everything you donate is USED immediately. Tax receipts are available upon request. All goes directly to serve the needs of the people. NO ONE IS EVER TURNED AWAY.
